The Benefits of Fasting

The research found that:

• Fasting for 3 days causes the body to start producing new white blood cells, even in the elderly. 

• The common notion that fasting is not healthy is contradicted by the research, which suggests that not eating creates a regenerative switch stimulating the stem cells to produce cells that fight infections. 

• The discovery could particularly benefit patients with compromised immune systems.
